Reigning champions Liverpool are hosting Burnley at the Anfield in a game from the 18th
round of the Premier League. This is a must win for Jurgen Klopp’s team and we are going
to explain you why in our football best betting tips for today.
Liverpool are in a difficult situation now, although nothing is lost just yet. The Premier
League champions are 4th in the standings with 34 points won which puts them just three
points behind the current leader Manchester United. The problem for Liverpool is the
team’s current shape – they are without a win in four consecutive matches and they didn’t
score a single goal in the last three. This is what worries the manager Klopp right now.
Few days ago Liverpool had the opportunity to return on top, but the derby against
Manchester United at the Anfield ended with a 0-0 draw. Once again the team had some
major problems when it comes to scoring a goal. Jurgen Klopp admitted that right now he’s
not sure what exactly the problem is. The new signing Diogo Jota is injured, but the star
trio Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are all fit and playing. But there’s
some kind of a problem which Klopp is trying to fix.
The good news for Liverpool is the return of the talented midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
Against Manchester United the Spanish international made his debut at the Anfield. He’s
going to be very influental for Liverpool – we are sure about this.
Burnley are having another tough season so far. The Clarets are 17th in the standings and
too close to the relegation zone for their own taste. Burnley lost three of their last four
matches and this is not giving them much confidence before facing the champion.
That’s our football best betting tips for the Premier League game between Liverpool and
Burnley on Thursday. Are the champions going to get back to winning? We shall see.
